The Importance of the Role
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) plays a pivotal role in establishing and fostering peer-to peer relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs) involved in the management of neuromuscular diseases in line with Sarepta's marketed and investigational product pipeline.The Opportunity to Make a Difference
Identifies,establishes, and fosters peer-to-peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), clinicians and researchers within disease state areas aligned to Sarepta's marketed and investigational products,e.g.neuromuscular experts
Developsand implementsrolling and goal-orientedKOL fieldengagementstrategythatdemonstratesownership of the execution of the medical strategy,projectsand initiativeswiththeir region.
Demonstrates strong knowledge of disease-state and product/platform datathrough communication ofcomplex clinical data and product information in a clear, compliant, and non-promotional manner
Collectshigh quality, actionable feedback and reportstrends and unmet medical needs,leading to strategic impact
Deliver high-quality presentations of scientific data to health care professionals in various settings, includingpeer-to-peer meetings,advisory boards, investigator meetings, and otherappropriate venuesto enhance product / disease state knowledge
Supports investigator-initiatedstudies(IIS/SRA),regionalresearch collaborations,registries,and otherevidencegeneration activities.Assessessitecapabilitieswith regard totheeffectiveconductofthese various forms of clinical research, providing feedback to internal teams.
Provide professional medical affairs representation and support at global,nationaland regional scientific meetings, including but not limited to staffing medical affairs booths, gathering competitive intelligence, and partnering to develop post-conference scientific materials
Develop andmaintainclinicalexpertisein Duchenne muscular dystrophy through review of scientific journals, recent datadisclosuresand participation in scientific congresses
Maintain strong working relationshipswithcross-functionalfield, GMA peers,andotherinternalteamsto provide a compliant, coordinated approachto engagement andeffective project managementand execution
Completes all MSL administrative tasks (Veeva, Concur, compliance wire etc.), initiatives,and projectson time
More about You
Graduate level degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) or equivalent required
Minimum of 3 years of work experience in research and development, clinical trials, medical information, clinical practice, or other related position(s) pertinent to our therapeutic areas;Medical Affairs / MSL experience preferred.
Demonstrates strong emotional intelligence, optimism, and a solutions-oriented mindset
Proven ability to effectively communicate advanced concepts tostakeholders
Familiarity with andtrack recordof complying with industry and regulatory compliance guidelines
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaborative team environment
Willingness to travel >50% of time
Experience andexpertisein clinical trial design/ execution andinterpretation of scientific data
High integrity, sense of urgency, ability to recognize time sensitivity
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional listening skills, strong presentation skills, and good negotiating and influencing skills
